Spent 5 days last over a long week end again this time camped in the CNF campground on the south shore of Gillette...very nice. We had a place to shore the boat so as not to have to launch and retrieve it every day. Our double site was close to the restrooms, water and the lake shore. It doesn't get any better than that.! While pleasure cruising the lakes we saw a moose but couldn't quite get maneuvered for a good photo but we did score an excellent photo of a beaver in the narrows between Thomas and Gillette. A variety of waterfowl, Bald Eagles and other birds and small animals around made for an enjoyable outing. Skunks and bears were missing...what a pity. Sniffle.
