Hey just found this forum, and it seems like a good place for me to ask this question.
Im a senior in high school and thinking about going to school in Spokane next year (Gonzaga).
How is the overall hunting (deer/elk/duck) around Spokane? Are there a lot of good options (public/private) when it comes to places to hunt? I live in Snohomish right now, and dont really have much info on the Spokane area.
Any information would be great.. this looks like a pretty cool site.
Thanks

Hey ldav,
Generally speaking, most of the hunting in this area is fairly good though the elk hunting is probably better on the west side of the state. There's a fair amount of hunters in this area that hunt elk outside of state such as Idaho and Oregon.
There's plenty of waterfowl and deer in this area, it's just a matter of getting out and scouting areas to hunt in. Picking up a good map would help, as well as just asking around when you visit local hunting suppliers, gun dealers etc..
Stick around and let us know if you move here. We'd like to keep up with ya and see how it's going.
Best of luck with your schooling etc..
